Managed Service Practice Leader:

Summary of Position: The Managed Service Practice Leader is responsible for the success and profitability of Network Access’ managed service practice, Uptime Advantage.

 

The position of Managed Service Practice Leader is a function of the Service Delivery Team that reports directly to the Business Unit Leader. This position requires a highly responsive approach to supporting our clients in every way possible, and at every level to ultimately build a multi million dollar managed service practice.

 

Operating in the role of managed service practice leader is a highly entrepreneurial opportunity.


In this mission critical role, you will use your years of system integration experience and knowledge to create and execute a vision to dramatically grow our managed services offering. The differentiator of success in this role is the ability to create and/or identify value, to promote that value to internal and external audiences, and to improve our organization’s value proposition to our clients.


In this role, you will be responsible for the many business and technical aspects of making the specific technology practice a success. This includes but is not limited to: creating a business plan, a marketing plan, sales support, recruiting and operational processes.

 

Beyond having technical expertise and extensive industry experience, the Managed Service Practice Leader must have a strong belief in the value of processes and procedures as well as have exceptional communications ability.
The position has a wide variety of duties associated it that include all of the following:

 

 

 

Success Factor Snapshot

• Immediately create revenue by assisting our sales team in closing managed services opportunities.


• Create a managed service practice business and marketing plan within the first 90 days.


• Continuously build and grow a profitable managed services practice consistent with the strategic goals of the organization (50-100% growth in year1 & 100% growth in year2).


• Create ancillary packaged services related to the managed services practice (example: HAAS, Managed Security, pen scans).


• Create internal training presentations on how to sell managed services within the first 90 days.


• Coordinate marketing events such as lunch and learns, seminars, and trade shows to promote managed services.


• Create a variety of marketing materials to support managed services for internal and external audiences such as power point presentations, literature, web site content, case studies, direct mail and email blast content.


• Immediately provide operational support including assisting the sales team with presales activity and other important related tasks such as documentation and managing the processes to transition clients to our managed service.


 

Qualifications
We are looking for individuals that have a high desire to succeed and progress in the networking, security, and application delivery spaces of the Information Technology industry. We expect the individuals selected for this position will take the initiative to develop themselves professionally, and attain manufacturer-specific technical certifications. Current valid certifications will be a significant advantage.

 

Applicants must have a solid knowledge of managed services as well as configuration, and troubleshooting of:

 

 

Applicants must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, revenue-generating environment, and must be detail-oriented. As a member of a team, applicants must also have excellent interpersonal as well as client-facing skills, and the ability to adapt work habits to a specified methodology and corporate culture.
